Siemens Simatic S7-1200 Series
The Siemens Simatic S7-1200 CPU is a compact central processor available in five different models, which may each be individually expanded to fit particular machine requirements. This enables the simple addition of analogue or digital I/Os without making any impact on the physical size of the unit. Compact Basic Controllers are equipped with integrated technology and communication functions and are available in either a standard or a fail-safe model. They are flexible and efficient, and offer an ideal solution for automation tasks falling in the lower to medium range of performance. Siemens 6ES7212 - S7-1200 CPU 1212C
The Siemens 6ES7212 - S7-1200 CPU 1212C functions as a versatile programmable logic controller for industrial automation applications. Units have an integrated Ethernet interface, together with a basic PID Controller and 50KB program memory. The software supports Profinet IO protocols, as well as Profibus, Modbus and AS Interface, and can be programmed via the TIA Portal and Siemens Step 7 programming framework. Failsafe CPUs are available for both standard and safety applications in automated industrial machinery and plant. Safety Integrated modules use Profinet communication to provide a connection to linked Profisafe devices, and both can be programmed with the Safety Basic engineering tool in Step 7.

Integrated System Diagnostics

All modules have removable terminals and may be simply expanded with up to three communication modules, two signal modules and either one communication board or one signal board.
