Motor Protection Circuit Breakers Infeed System
A Motor Protection Circuit Breaker Infeed System provides a convenient way to supply and distribute energy to a collection of several Motor Protection Circuit Breakers or entire load feeders. The modular design of such systems allows for different spring-type or screw connections in different sizes, which can be integrated concurrently into load feeders or Motor Protection Circuit Breaker systems. Different levels of input power are also accommodated, and expansion modules are available for connection with an expansion plug.
A basic Infeed System module has two sockets, allowing a Motor Protection Circuit Breaker to be snapped onto each side, and is complete with an end cover. A three-phase busbar forms a lateral incoming unit from the energy supply. Versions are available with the infeed mounted either on the left or the right and connected via spring-type terminals. Plug-in screw or spring-type connectors provide the electrical connection between the Motor Protection Circuit Breakers and the three-phase busbars.
With expansion modules incorporated, a complete Motor Protection Circuit Breaker Infeed System can carry up to a maximum 63A of current. A terminal block can also be connected with spring-type connectors, to enable integration of other Motor Protection Circuit Breakers and additional components.
Due to their simple design with plug-in technique, Motor Protection Circuit Breaker Infeed Systems are extremely quick and easy to install. The lateral infeed also saves space, as it only takes up a few additional centimetres inside the control cabinet, and the choice of left or right mounting gives the system great configuration flexibility.
