Harting Connector Inserts

Harting Connector Inserts are the ground unit into which the connectors fit, and they come in a plethora of different combinations of sizes, shapes and orientation, with male-ended or female-ended connections, and with screw, crimp or cage-clamp terminals. They are made of protective material which is polarised for the correct mating connections, with captive fixing screws, and can be used with housings and hoods or rack and panel type applications. Male and female inserts can be accommodated interchangeably in Harting Hoods and Housings, which also come in a wide variety of insert protection.

This protection is built into the connector’s external housing, locking and sealing mechanisms so as to prevent any damage from foreign bodies. These protections are governed by national and international standards IEC 60 529 and DIN EN 60 529, which detail the degrees of protection required from external influences including dust, humidity, mechanical shocks, water and other fluid contaminants.

Rowse Automation is proud to be an authorised Harting distributor, and we stock Harting Connector Inserts in many different categories of the Harting Han® collection, including variants for different currents, voltages and amperages, as well as the Han-Modular®, Han® Compact and Han®Thermocouple for temperature measurement. Special categories are offered that protect against explosion in hazardous environments, or are tailored for the food and beverage industry.

Industrial communications options are also offered in the Han-Brid® collection, together with Combination and Terminal Block Connector Inserts, and specialised Inserts for the Han-Eco® Thermoplastic Hoods and Housings, which provide maximum protection against environmental influences.
